Hi Doc, I just changed it to an alternate email address and that worked. I just went through the steps of reactivating the account after the change. I then tried my new google address again but it failed.

It'd be cool if it could go to my google address as that is now my main account. I updated all the other sites I frequent; VZi, RestoWagenUK, cal-look.no etc. If it really becomes too much hassle to fix let me know and I'll leave you alone.

Hi doc, I have three addresses:

Yahoo (my old one that I don't use anymore)
Google (my new address I'd like to use - but can't)
f2s (just a spare email address I thought I'd try just see if I could update my email details - which I can, so I know the problem isn't on my side)

So I still can't add my Google address without it failing.

Hi doc, thanks for looking into this for me. I just tried to update the email address again but it now tells me:

"The entered e-mail address is already in use."

I guess it's cached it somewhere from when I previously tried to update it? I've tried clearing my browsers cache and restarting but got the same result. Sorry for the hassle dude and I really appreciate your help.
