Baja Kid's 1972 - hydraulic clutch upgrade

Post by baja kid »

Hey guys i know i haven't been around as much as i used to but im still reading posts from time to time. Today i broke my second clutch cable in less then 6 month's due to having a stage one 1700 pound pressure plate so i decided to upgrade to a hydraulic clutch set up. Just wanted to see some pictures of how you have yours done and any input on what to expect when i get it all done. I also got some new rims and tires for my baby 8)

Glad you are doing OK,sorry about the cable. I have been running the same PP for 6 years and havn't had a problem with the cable. But, your car is a daily driver so i'm sure it gets more use than mine. Let's see some pics of the new wheels.

Here's some pictures of my new genuine Center-line rims and BFGoodrich KM2 tires. I have had them for about three month's for the fronts and about 5 month's for the back rims and tires. I have taken it off road twice with the new rims and tires and it handles awesome i love the KM2's. Anyways enjoy the pics!!!!

Shiny!!!

I would recommend a Slave Saver for the clutch slave cylinder. It improves the angle on the throw out arm and makes it work more efficiently.
