lets see those dashs!

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

I am about to start the turbo project for the 2.0L type 4 that is on there right now. Engine is mostly stock with slightly more compression, a much better cam with short duration for the turbo, and the stock 2.0L bus heads replaced with 1.7L 914 heads. Already have a Garret AR.42 turbo and a Volvo intercooler. I will be doing a blow through setup on a pair of 40IDF Webers. Plan on starting at 8 psi and working up to about 12 pounds. Should make at least 150HP to the rear wheels. Probably more. Will be insane considering how light the car is. And BTW: it is street legal!

give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

This thread needs a kick. Here is my dash. Specs:
It has a pair of sand seal switches for lights.
Two big push buttons are for horns and windshield washer pump.
Tech Edge wide band O2 mounted to left of tac
6" Monstertac with tattletale and shift-light.
Refurbed zero mile speedometer from 76 (lots of warning indicator lights to utilize)
Dakota Digital (DD) voltmeter
DD cylinder head temp
DD oil pressure
DD oil temperature
J&S safeguard knock sensor timing indicator gauge w/ O2 combo

Check out what I started with. Gutted and hacked up padded dash 76 standard dash.

Looks good Steve!

What did you use on the stock glove box to make a tight seal? I picked up some weather stripping...foamy stuff, but it doesn't stick in the desert at 100*.

I haven't worried about sealing it up yet. That is a winter project... The new glovebox I have makes a decent seal around the perimeter of the opening in the trunk. I little foil tape or something from the backside should finish off any leaks.
