Sorry if I missed the thread with this in it, but I had a good look in the stickies and couldn't find one. I'm having some truly stupid ideas about building a hot rod. I thinking a blown Oxyboxer might be the go. 2.1l. What I want to know is this.
How much machining (in terms of hours and specific operations) does it take to convert a wasserboxer case over to oxy for use with type 1 heads?
On a related note, the engine I'm thinking of building would be almost stock internals, but balanced (6k redline), 94mm cyls and stockish but smoothed type 1 heads. A roots style blower @ 9psi with intercooler and probably megasquirt or similar ECU. Any ideas of HP and torque would be nice. The setup is hoped to be done on a budget. Love to hear your thoughts people.

Are you buying lifter bushings, or making them ?
How about the adapter rings to support the 94mm cyl ?
Rocky can probably do it as fast as anyone.
The average guy would have to figure out "a few" details along the way.

I have nothing at present and I live in Australia.
buy more likely than make. I'm not a machinist.
