Do you have any more info on this? This is essentially what I've done to my bug, but I'm not happy with the rear end geometry, and I've been keeping my eyes open for an alternative rear suspension design.

It has a 1.8t in the front with a chopped up 020 bell housing attached to a 944 torque tube and transaxle that is in the rear. Its basically a bug irs rear suspension. I believe you put the whole thing in the rear and kept it tranvers correct?

Anyway i finished it today so im almost ready for your bug Kirk!!

I guess that won't work. I was thinking they were doing something like Eric's '92 Corrado under the Rides section on the Schimmel Performance website. I think they used Corvette stuff but I don't know.

The bug is finally in my garage and getting worked on. Made the twin scroll manifold on my last two days off. Still need to add the wastegate outlets and make the downpipe and then the motor will go back in. I believe capsoval has the wiring and ecu all ready to go. There is a chance this beast could be running by the end of next week.

Should be good for about 450 wheel horsepower on crappy california 91 octane. I wish that poor transmission good luck!!
