I thought i'd share this with you guys. I ordered these from lokari.de. Lokari is still making these inner wheel arch covers for classic cars and even the 411/412 is on their long list of cars these covers are available. I test fitted these on my car and they fit perfect. They are made of aluminium with rubber sealing that fits between the cover and car body. These are also available for the rear wheel arches.
When i found out these are still available i decided immediately to order a pair. I wouldn't want to drive my car without these covers, in the lovely weather conditions we have here in Finland...
hey,, LATHI ,, they look nice ,,we have the same weather condition here too and i have look for to fit on my 412 last year on a ford mustang 1990 ,,inner wells but your inner wells look very nice ,,nice work,,,albert
There is a reason why they did not have fender well covers on 411/412. the area above the wheel is very narrow. Its probable that on depression while turn you will strike the wheel well cover. Make sure they operate at at least 3/4 depression of the front struts while going through a turn.
I hope they do not hit....but its probable they will. There is not very much room in the forward edge. The rearward edge should be fine. Ray
I believe these will work just fine. You could buy Lokari products when these cars were new and these were dealer approved options. Lokari made these for several car brands and they were very popular accessories here in Finland. I was surprised neither of my 411's had these when i got the cars. But then the other car was from the northern Finland where climate is much dryer -especially on winters, and the other car was horribly rotten from it's front, showing it obviously never had had these accessories installed...
That is very nice info. If they have been making them a long time...then they probably know what works.
Yes...mud and snow are a scourge within the front wings on 411/412. I have done some serious drives in my 412 in snow and ice.....like 300 mile drives on 10" of snow.....and had to stop and clean out the wings a few times. These would be nice. Ray
