Thanks Wally! Looking forward to picking it up this weekend. We've got an 850 km trip on snowy roads ahead of us, from the land of the midnight sun back home here in the south of Norway.
Pictures will be taken on the trip. Maybe I shold make a new topic; "The long way home"
Every time I see your car Wally...I am pushed to get mine farther along. It will take time but this should be a good year and it should be back on tehroad by summer. I miss driving it. I have a two door as well....and with that huge quater window there is almost no car I have driven that has better visability. I am reminded of that every morning when I get into my Jetta and can't see anything. Ray

I made your attachment into a link by putting url front and rear as it now shows if you click on the link.
That is one VERY cool car!!!!!!!!!!! I like the striping as well. Always felt the 412 is a very good car for it. I even saved a pic of a corvair with such striping as an example
Welcome Arild! Agree on the kuhl factor. I love the stripes, wheels, dechrome, and bumperless stance. I saved the jpg to my pc, went to Samba, uploaded to 412 gallery, copied/pasted link here (using Img tags) for all to see.
Looking forward to more of your pictures and scenery of Norway.
Oh crap, that car is sweet! Dammit Ray, I'm with you, my cars are sitting covered in the driveway or in storage and I just can't stand seeing everyone else having all the fun...I must change things!
Thanks for kind words! We're just home after 900km on the road and 14 hours by train. Sadly my camera was left back home, but I will take som more pictures of my car in a few days.
