75 baja project - in memory of our friend Sasha

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

ia agree with this, for sure it's not good to breath the smoke of the galvanized coatingwhen you weld it.
it just was a "point welding" to find the exect position to place the metal plates.

now i'll need to take this plates down. to grind the galvanized coating down and welding it, after that i will take it place again and weld it to the body.

and nop, i don't think that smells good :?

Hello everyone,

I need your help and experiment to find a 9" (228mm) clutch disc to my baja project.
the engine is Ej25 turbo (subaru wrx 2007) and the trany is 091, so the clutch disk have to be strong.

few weeks ago i bought: KEP engine adapter (ej25 to 091 trany), KEP stage 2 pressure plate (also 9"), and flywheel to the ej25 crankshat and 091 trany.
I didn't found clutch disc that can be work on a baja.
the only one I found is this one:
http://www.pacificcustoms.com/mm5/merch ... ange_high=

as I know, the 4 or 6 pack clutches made for a street or drag cars, and when you want to drive the car slowly, you don't have the connect of "half pedal" of the clutch. and it's connect the engine to the wheels in one shot.

am I right?

I hope that I'm wrong and it's the correct clutch disc that i need.
and if it isn't, please help me to find the right one that be the best in of road driving. (9" stage II)

thank's,
Ido.

That is what I am using in my rail, I can ease into the street or blast away. Mine is not like the on and off of a 4 puck. See what Skidmark is using with his subie engine.

Have no idea why the answer this post is coming before the question of ido :?

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

I thought the one I was looking for had more details than that one.

try a stock kombi friction plate with an uprated pressure plate. that's what all the guys out here are using behind WRX motors. the puck clutches are not progressive enough in an all in one transmission/differential setup from what I've been told.

This is mine, previous one slipped under boost. Progressive, :? works for me though, won't be going back to a flat disc.
