Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Congratulations Lotrat. I know this was not an easy contest to win but, it wasn't meant to be. It was meant to get people to do some digging and learn a few things. From the moaning and groaning I saw and the threads that were bumped I think it did do just that. I would hope that from time to time all of us would go back into the old threads and look around. There is a huge amount of info in this forum that doesn't need to just slip away  .

Thank you for your efforts and we would really like for you to start a build thread on your car and for sure the new "BLING" installation!

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Just an update on the whereabouts of the bling. Fed-Ex put a ding in my bling! You won't be able to see it when it's spinning....

So I ran over to VW-Paradise with the pulley the day I got it. Dropped it on the counter and said I needed a sand seal. He came back with EMPI's green one, orange one, and the press in version. None of them fit. So I shot an email back to Kenneth at MST asking for the part number for the seal that fits. He just got back from vacation today and he told me that only a Scatt seal will fit even though their web site and instructions state, "Aluminum Sand Seal Mount. Fits Scatt and EMPI Seal Designs." No big deal, I just need to find the right seal. If you ask me, they should include the seal in the kit. I'll keep you all posted.

Well if you don't want the bling send it to me I will find the correct seal for it.
