Questions about Maxi Taxi

Great find! The body looks to be in A1 condition. Maxi's were built by Bremen Motorsports who did a bunch of different kits back in the late '70's and early '80's. Can't help on specifics to that car, though. You might want to check the DBA for other owners to help locate other parts you may need: www.http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/

Ya its cool the car is in great condition. New paint and clean up the chrome and it would be perfect.

Clarifcation.. update the gel coat..

May be nice to keep the facotry colors.. looks in good condition.. just gel coat.

anybody ever see one of these without the doors cut out mine is sitting on a 1960 pan can find no tags but it looks just like a maxi send help thanks

Gotta picture? I've seen one for sale where the doors were glassed shut. the Berry Mini T 4 (and the splashes and variations) look similar but do not have doors.

i have no idea how to post pics the sides are smooth never been cut the radiator/gas tank looks just like the maxi except at the top middle where the tag should be it is smooth if you go to the samba.com look under kit cars listed by dave the welder you will see 4 pics of it thanks

Does it look like this without the v6 in the rear? This is similar to a Berry Mini T +/- 4 (I have seen it written with either a plus or minus) or several other splashes with either a curved or straight cowl area where the windshield sits. Mine is a Red Head Roadsters "Cute T" body

yes and no the back is close however the cowl on mine is flat not curved and the radiator/gas tank in front looks like a model t radiator thanks

hi my buggy looks just like the first link you have the only difference is mine does not have doors cut out( never did as far as i can tell) and the top front of radiator is smooth not raised like in that pic other than that they look the same if anybody knows any history on these things let me know when they started production how long etc thanks dave the welder

I have seen one with no doors but I think the guy said they had been closed off other wise I have not seen a buggy like yours. It is possible that someone made a splash off a Maxi Taxi with no doors.

It would be nice to see some pictures. Also, look at the dunebuggyarchives

You jut got me thinking, years ago I saw a 'Sand Taxi" for sale but I don't remember much about it. It did look like a Maxi Taxi but it was different.
