hi peeps i need some new drums for the rear of the 412 does any one know where to get them from?

and are they the same as a type 3 rear drum if so i type 3 detectives might have some

The drums/shoes/wheel cyl's/etc. are interchangeable with `66-`73 Type III. The center hubs for the drums are different.
The OEM 311 501 615F drums were composite, with a cast iron friction surface and a steel face. Replacements now on the market are all cast iron, so their face is slightly thicker - the wheel will be moved outward by ~1mm.

Yep...and I have had lots of proplems with the Brazilian aftermarket cast one piece drums not being machined concentric with the hub...so check them carefully. About 3 out of 5 have been out of round.

If you find any of the two piece original German ones get them. They are much better. Ray
