Yes it is sleeved. 12''. I thought about plug welding it. Was not too sure if it was a good thing or not? I need more sleeve . the other side is not aligned perfect. I put the hoop on the ground and it was almost perfectly flat But as I have one side set the other is 1'' lower. I am going to cut the rear bar and rotate it. You will never know. Except the globs of welding trails.
I was thinking of making adjustable head rest for the rear. Something to pad the heads from the fuel tank. I want to design the tank mounts at to make it easy and clean to remove it for places I don't need it. I have a 6 or 7 gal tank under the hood. Silly me did not ask for a bigger tank I just asked for a 59 fuel tank because it was a 59 pan... DUMB DUMB.
I still need a large tank for the long hauls. The kids will still be able to sit in there with the tank though.

I would love to own my own set of dimple dies... and the hydraulic press to use them, too! You could use a vise I guess, but a press would get you into the panel farther for the larger jobs. Hell, a 4 foot press brake in my garage would do as well... and a mill. Oops, forgot the lathe! Am I asking for too much?!
To be totally honest, I would settle for the room in my garage for tha above equipment!!!

Az pin stiping is code for the nice deep gouging that all the desert foliage puts in your paint.seabeebuggy wrote:Thank you....perrib wrote:Wow! Great attention to detail. Its almost too nice to drive. Arizona pin striping keeps me from having anything that nice

I agree. I'm not afraid of getting a few scratches on my baja. Just ask crisis68.Kraut_n_Rice wrote:Az pin stiping is code for the nice deep gouging that all the desert foliage puts in your paint.

I am burning out. My frame //pan or body has never been flat or straight. I have everything even yet everything is off. If i run the rear hoop with the contour of the body it looks strange and all the angles are not the same. If I lever the back hoop to the rest of the gage it still looks off and things don't line up. Everything is bent the same or really close and the same length.. I am looking for a middle ground. the body always looks like it is leaning to the passenger side.. hummmm...

Ya that sounds like a idea.. not.
I did find one joint that was just binding so I cut it and it pooped into place the other part was still lined up. just needed to twist a 1/16'' that is crazy small to cause so much headache.
