I post this for Michel Wilson, who was recently at a Autosport show in Birmingham, England.
"I was told that the heads are prototype castings for a new 1500cc bike
being developed for Rickman Metisse which is due to be announced in
June."
Still very interesting as it is not a 4 in line. Curieus if the two inside exhaust valves stay cool enough with this concept.

Admittedly, it has been more than 50 years since the AJS 'triple knocker' addressed the question. The triple knocker was a three [yes 3] cam single that had two front mounted exhaust cams/valves. During the long trip up to 1,500 feet in altitude [from sea level] during the Isle of Man race, the triple knocker gave the [then European] competition two choices, 1) back off and let the AJS win; 2) burn their exhasut valves and let the AJS win. Some teams tried strategy 1), some tried strategy 2). In either case, the AJS won.
Now, they have learned a lot about air flow and cooling in the last 50 years, but I wouldn't want to be riding an air cooled four valve per cylinder motorcycle up the Isle of Man climb to 1,500 feet while chasing a liquid cooled machine. [I HATE IT when I burn exhast valves.]
I'm curious what the bore centers and max size are
I bet those would cool just fine on a street car.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
