i'm just pleased to have had the help from this forum!
there are are some great photographs on this thread that make me realize how amateur my reassembly is - i need all the help i can get!
i really am a dumbass
at the moment, i'm disassembling my tie rods and have a couple of questtions. i'll start a thread with them this morning.

There's a left hand and right hand piece. Different shapes. Glenn's third pic (middle of pic, upper) shows these two side by side.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.
