Headliner Alternatives?

Just thinking. Anyone know of an alternative to a headliner. Want some cushion and sound dampening without the hassle of installing a nice headliner.

I'm seriously planning to use a layer of Reflectix, that mylar-coated bubblewrap insulation, with the stock bows. Kinda chilly here. It should work the other way for you, keeping it a little cooler.
And paint on the interior body surfaces. The only place upholstery belongs in a baja is the seat, IMHO.

Just had to have my '91 Sub's headliner re-done. I've glued Reflectix to the under side of the roof. Yesterday was sunny & about 75*f. That big ole black roof was getting HOT, even on the underside. The bottom surface of the Reflectix was 15*-20* cooler than the sheetmetal. I'm hoping this foretells the future.....

I brushed on Rustoleum gloss white and convered it with stickers. It is a nasty job cleaning up the old yellow spray glue!

anzan, my roof is just grey implement paint and a bunch of vinyl stickers

i'm not familiar with the K1 kit... the bubble insulation would be good for desert bajas...
