Need some parts for my 1974 412 sedan

Post by kps70 »

Hi - I really, really want to get my 412 back on the road in the next few months. I can't stand seeing it in the garden covered in sheets.
This is what I need - CAN YOU HELP???
rear decklid (411 fits too)
chrome - lower, wider bits
clips for above
any rear wheel arch sections (N/S front of rear wheel arch) - this is a big ask I know.

I'll pay for shipping if I have to!
Desperate to get the old girl going again.

VW412 is in their catalog list which is already remarkable, but unfortunately it also says 'no car parts for this model present' (I choose 412 73 with W engine code as example)

If we knew where you were at we could probably guide you to a wrecking yard with the parts you want.

You can try to get window rubber through the Dutch 412 club. Excellent quality. It may take a while, though, as they are made on special request. Send me an email if you're interested and I can give you contact details.
If you have spare fenders, you can cut repair sections for the wheel arches from them, if I correctly understand what you are looking for.
Chrome trim is difficult. It sometimes appears on eBay.
Cheers, Jan Peter
