Its been a while so I thought I would lay out another project that had been in process.

Recipe:
SCAT 78mm flanged crank with T4 mains and Chevy journals
Autcraft dry sump case
Pauter 5.5 Al rods
Venolia 4" pistons
HEAVILY worked Autocraft 910 heads with 54 x 40 (Ti intake, SS exhaust) with K900 springs (roller)
Custom roller cam
Isky roller lifters
Autocraft dry sump pump
Custom Staggs Racing turbo system

that looks sweet what is the cost on a engine like that with all the good stuff in it .
i am looking to do a engine soon that will be as good as the one i have now it must hold up to 26lb boost and make 400+ hp and rev to 8k with out comming apart on me with 7.5:1 CR turbo efi.
i have a 2054cc right now that Jame at state side tuning made up for me back in 96 and it has 70'000 mile on it now and ithink it is time for a new engine :D 8)

What are those bronze sleves for where the push rod tubes go ?

Well its quite a bit depending on options.
This motor will make and hold 40+ pounds of boost.

great motor marty, looks like the heads are ready to bolt on but what about the exhaust guides?

Why do the retainers have holes in them? Or are they just dimples

They are a different material and are THICK!
The reason I left them is is because of the HUGE spring pressures. Cutting them down would have left them too short to live under the spring pressure and loads placed on them. These are not ordinary guides either so they will be fine and have already been proven durable on turbo Pauter motors.

They are special Manly Ti ratainers. They are holes.
