My turn for L-jet issues...

Post by vwfye »

my car is actually running great, with fantastic power, but my MPG on the freeway at 70 mph is only 13  the only other sign something is amiss is if i drive it for some distance and shut down for 15-20 minutes. Then, upon restart, it dies everytime i shift into gear from P. my current temp solution in that situation is to slightly rev and pop into gear. once rolling for a few moments, it idles just fine at stop lights and such.

CHT the culprit here?

Check for vacuum leaks first...especially the vacuum line to the transmission....and the auxiliary air regulator. I would also check the fuel pressure. Ray
