Crank/Flywheel roll pin

Post by Dean »

I got my crank after being nitrited. It’s beautiful. The rotating assembly was balanced and I was wondering if I should have a roll pin or just line up the holes when attaching the flywheel.

Thanks

Dean, the addition of the roll pin will not alter my balance work. It is VERY close to the center of the mass and will have no impact on balance. The nitriding process requires that this pin be removed and they probably forgot to reinstall it. If you want to install one you can buy one at the local hardware store.

I only offer the cranks already nitrided, I do not offer the service for customers that have their own crank. The Nitrided cranks are listed on my site.
