vertigate shifter for 091

Post by kgturbo »

Does anyone know of a manufacturer of a vertigate for an 091 or do they only make it for the berg conversion 113/002 front housing. I would like to take advantage of the bigger gears and stuff and the trans is going into a chassis car so I really don't have to use a conversion kit. Thanks

MSE should have a bus kit
I have seen a few at JCL race cars. I put one of these on a type 1 recently.
Basically it is just the nose cone assembly that is different.

latest and greatest JCL shifter on a type 1 box. the bus box would just have a little different shape.

And if i am not mistaken, the MSE versions leave the stock shift rails in and just hook into the area where the original hockey stick would grab.

Only one place you can get those. direct through JCL. (714) 895-7782

No doubt a very nice piece. makes me want to try and fit one in my car too.

Veretigate shifter for 091

Post by kgturbo »

Hey Mike, Thanks for the reply. I tried contacting Jimmy Larson yesterday and Today about a chromoly roll cage for my kg vert. This shifter is for my pro mod car. I've come to the conclusion that if I were to build a full tilt 091 with a vertigate that would be the best, short of using a Medeola(which would require me to modify chassis) subsequently i've only had to modify chassis minimally to accomadate the 091. I cut top of type 1 mount and welded type 2 mount on the forward side of old mount. Axles line up perfectly. Thanks
