Does anyone have a old Beattle on LPG, and have correct documentation for registration and so one...
I would ask him/her where was car built and is it a possibble?

I would like to find a way to convert my Kadrons to propane, I think that would be pretty cool. Also, it's still cheaper than gasoline here in MT.

I've been gathering up some of the parts to convert mine over to propane. I got a propane forklift carb off Ebay a few years ago, an Impco CA50-599, which seems to be a direct bolt-in replacement for the 34 PICT-1. I'll have to rotate the throttle linkage around a little, so it pulls correctly, but it looks like a simple job. I haven't tried it yet, so it may take some tuning for this engine. Sounds like a pretty good start, though.
I'm curious about the "spud-in jet". Anyone know where a person can get these? It may be interesting to put one in the intake on my fuel-injected Corolla. Disable the fuel pump and injectors, put propane in the intake, and I'm good to go??
There seems to be some confusion about preheating, though. The pressure converter needs to be heated, to keep it from freezing up. This doesn't have anything to do with the temperature of the propane going in. The converter functions like your freezer or refrigerator. It takes something at a high pressure (The liquid propane or the refrigerant) and lets it leak out through a small opening, so it's vapor at a lower pressure. When that happens, the vapor gets very cold. The converter would soon turn into a snowball, if it didn't have some heat going into it.

OK, now to take this very reasonable post and twist the snot out of it.
Has anyone thought about using propane on the fuel side of a "wet" nitrous system? Propane has an ocatne rating of 104. It supplies its own pressure so needs no ful pump. Just use 2 nitrous solenoids (because of the higher pressure) and a smaller fuel jet (again because of pressure) and it should run great. Iso Butane would do even better but that is another topic.
