Is there any difference between the two of these? Also, where can you get either of them, and can you make it posi on your own?
Thanks,
Cale

PS. I wasn't sure what forum to put it in, so i'm putting it in several.

A little company called "Quaiffe". Expect to pay $1000-$1500 US.

yeah, I've heard of quaife, but the price is rediculous! On the pelican parts forum, I found out that the 901 boxes came with an LSD stock, so I'm no longer looking for one (thank god!)

Cale,

Sorry to burst your bubble, but to my knowledge the 901 defin did not come with a LSD stock...I have 4 914's and none of them have LSD and all have 901's...and as far as I know the Quaife is the only way to go...

good luck and lemme know if you find otherwise :P

Guard Transmission sells a Quaife copy ATB LSD for around a grand.

I'm going to go with a real Quaife, custom gears, and the Aluminum intermediate plate once I start blowing apart stock 901s.

hey, CHA914, I bought a manual for the pre-73 914 and it says that some came equipped with the LSD, so when I flip the R/P, i'll DEFINITELY take a look at the diff.
