205 tires on empi 8's?

Hey all, i was wondering if a 205 60 65 or 70 R15 tire will fit onto the empi 8 spoke rims for the back of my bug? i definately have enough clearance for them, just wondering if its safe to run?

They'll fit on the wheel, but it would be a very close fit to the fender I'd bet.

i have 215 60's on the rear of mine on 8 spokes and they fit fine. so u shouldnt have a problem

I have 205/65-15s and they are about 1/2" from the fender with sport 5.5"s. The 8 spokes stick out a little further and wouldn't have allowed a lot more. 215's would probably fit on the ones I have now.
