Anyone know of a source for covers to pressurize the intake of IDA throttle bodies?
CB Performance only makes the IDF type and the throttle body vendors dont know of any sources.

you will need to run different floats in your Ida's as boost pressure will flatten the standard floats! Just a thought...

Source for IDA pressurized air boxes??
Thanks Matt,
I should have been more specific. I have IDA manifolds and IDF manifolds are not available for the heads I am using. I would like to use IDA FI throttle bodies
http://www.twminduction.com/ThrottleBod ... dy-FR.html
I have learned from two good sources that IDA carbs can not be pressurized with a sealed top cover since the air will escape through the shaft held by bearings and the bearings will be beaten to death quickly if you try anyway.
I have a call into GeneBerg "Tim" is checking on the TWM types.
I may have to get a plate to convert from IDA to IDFs.
...anyone else has any other ideas?
-Rich

what kind of heads are you running?
you could take your ida manifolds, have them cut toward the bottom and graft on the uppers of some idf manifolds.
I know people that would do it, but probably be pricy.
But the above choice may be the way to go

Thanks for the replies,
Im running Scat spit ports, they flow great but the support from Scat is terrible.
They have no idea what they are selling anymore.
The manifolds have already been flow benched on the heads so as soon as I can wade through the flash enabled site above
I may have a solution
Someone should slap whoever made the www.speed-technology.com site. Its slow and mostly fluff...and Im on a full T1 line!

John,
We built the engine for Rich (2316cc T-4)
Since the heads were split ports, we did not even notice the spacing of the intakes (for IDA bolt pattern) until everything was ready to run...
The Heads have been matched, and flow tested(I have numbers somewhere)
I test fired the beast with my IDAS, but Rich will have to fab the rest of it..
Scat has been pretty useless, as they have no idea how to make these work on a type IV, yet alone manifolds..

what are your flow #s (lift, and inches of vacuum)?
My heads are just finished for my 2443 supercharged monster. I used short DCNF intakes, but they hurt the flow a little, so I'm also going to try a set of IDF intakes.
My #s are still equivalent to Kurt Metzgers' (same heads exactly), and may improve with the IDF intakes. I was shooting for 350hp, but that seems like it's gonna' be too easy (Kurt has 500, but runs more boost than I will).
