hey ppl
im looking to ream out my link pin spindles so i can run the large ford tie rod end..the same ends that fit my HD centermount rack and pinion that i got from CIP1
if anyone has any idea what size the bit is..i could order it and get this thing on the road!
here are some pics of my cars...any questions..please ask
thanks
Cale
i plan on doing it..unless i say screw it and buy some beefy spindles..
lol me and my friends do everything ourselfs..thats why most of it is shoddy at best!! J/K
but really..i figure..square it up in a vice..toss it under the drill press and have at it..i am sure i could drill them on the car even..with a big honkin drill..i know i know..eeeeekkkk!!! but you would be supprised at how much stuff we can make work..and look good..with not even close to the right tools
Hamburger...
That was kind of my indirect point...
I have a contract with a cutting tool distributor -- their customer base are machine shops... poke around... you'll find a machinist who will do this for fun money... it wil be perfect...
Spending $20-40 on some machining is less expensive than hacking spindles.
(Now I have to admit that I've done some "vice" reaming... not successfully)
I was hoping to learn some home brew machinging tips.
