You mean the car?
That's my "take my three year old to daycare" car. It warms up well, it handles well, and has anti lock brakes. What more could a three year old ask for? She does ride in the bus when the weather is better. That's the "inclement weather" car and the fallback vehicle. It's gotta go before we move to Charlottesville.

I have been reading this thread for nearly 25 minutes. It has to be the most informative thread I have read in months. It caught my eye with the miss fit Scat rockers. I'm working on the same problem at this time.
If I may add my 2 cents, Send the CB linkage back and buy the bellcrank linkage from CSP.

It is top notch stuff that needs no modifications and works great.

I've heard a lot of opinions, and I'd have to say that bellcrank linkage looks like a better idea, but then a lot of people have said it sucks. So have others about crossbar. The CB linkage is ok once you figure out what to do to it to make it a better product. If the bellcrank works good with no screwing around, that's a good deal. I will have to give it a shot some time.

SO, you like the caricature of me, eh?mharney wrote:Hey, are those sagging man-breasts on your avatar that he is holding, Don?
Of course they are man-breasts, Me-So_Harney!
I love breasts so much, that I grew my OWN PAIR!
Now I can play with a nice pair of boobs anytime I want, without
having to hear "Not tonight Dear"!

Ok.. getting close.
Did the final stand start-up today, and everything checked out. The oil leaks are all solved, and the new welded fan is in place, and the engine runs smooth as silk (right Timmy?). The mods I made to the CB linkage to make it worth using helped out a lot. Just waiting on my CB Weblink kit.
There is just one thing. With 60 idle jets, zero bypass pump jets, and 40mm vents on my 48 IDFs, I still seem to have a slight lean condition under throttle - specifically if I gas it hard from idle, or when I rev it up, let off, and then hit it again. Seems like it still needs more fuel from the accelerator pumps. They are showing about 10 threads on the shaft. I'm going to try doing a volume check on each side and see what I am getting from the accelerator pumps. The only thing different (right down to the fuel pump) from what it will have IN the car is that right now I am not using the MSD 6AL - just using a ballast resistor with my Unilite and Blaster 2 coil. As a reality check, could lean really be the case with these jets, and zero pump bypasses with this many threads showing? I can make a video of it if someone is interested in the symptom.
Once it is all worked out, it's time to put it in the car and go straight to the welder for installation of the KCB.
