It's got plenty of power and sounds great.
Leave the watercooled for the "other" VW people.

switch
i have a jetta already thats the car that i use to put the rice burners to shame (euros rule) now i want a beetle too but not for race just for style the reason i wanted to dump the engin is cause the int is already redone the guy just got sick of working on the car and so it needs some tlc on the engin and paint where do i find the kit to switch the engine with the subarus and do i need a new tranny like a 5 speed (its got a manual 4 right now) whats in the back of glenns bug and if i wanted exaust like his is there also a possiblity that i can get it to go forwards and bend back so its like a hot rod kinda with the pipes running under the running boards and flairing out infront of the rear wheelwell

For specs on Glenn's bug click on the red link in his sig... "74 Beetle specs."
For engine swap info go here.... http://frost.bbboy.net/vwengineconversions
Personally I'd build a bigger motor for the bug. I wouldn't even think of swapping a watercooled motor in there...
