Chevy Powered Beetle

Post by TeamEvil »

I have a Chevy Powered Beetle that we're getting ready for the coming racing season, along with a few other cars. I don't know how to post pics on the forum, but I could shoot anything that you want and email the pics to you. If you have any specific questions, just ask and I'll do what I can here on the forum.

Good Luck with your car,

fenderwell headers

Post by TeamEvil »

I'm looking for a manufacturer of fenderwell headers for a small block Chevy mounted in the Mailbu/Cutlass/etc. chassis, late 60's/early 70's. My Beetle uses this for the front clip.

This Summer I want to make it look like more of a Gasser/Altered, and the headers will help in that and a few routing problems with the steering shaft as well.

I saw that Speedway makes a universal set, but I don't know how well they would fit considering the size and location of the upper suspension (opposite the two middle spark plugs).

Any help would be great, thanks.

Sure CMD,

I'm in the middle of swapping out the radiator right now, but once done I can take some pics for you. With the tilt nose off of it right now you can see the chassis/engine set-up very clearly.

Just give me some time, OK? I won't forget.

...........and your very nice looking Oval is "period correct" LOL

Lighten up guy! The Split was the remains of a cut up, rusted out hulk- not very restoreable!
