Chris!!! Too cool...it's great to hear from you! It wasn't done in time for the show, it still isn't done now. Everytime I think I've finished something, I find five more things that need attention. I really want this thing done properly and I refuse to rush through something until I am certain it's up to snuff. And to top it all off...I am a slow worker.
I am hosting the Third Annual RIVWA Newport Octoberfest Cruise this Sunday. Wish you could join us.
thats cool. I remember you looking for a T IV engine. glad to see you found one! I finished my ghia vert early summer. been tinkering with it ever since. I decided to go bigger than my 1776, so I just got my new machined case in today. 84x94 (2332). now THAT is going to be fun! Should be getting the rest of it next week and build it over the winter.
Sorry I'll be missing the octoberfest. I don't forsee myself heading up there anytime soon. perhaps if there is a show next year I'll cruise up. it IS like 10 hours you know.
anyway, good to hear from you.
hope to see more pix up here when it's done.

very nice ghia , those are the 17" BRM's right , how did you fit them up , wwhat brakes are you running? I'm looking to run them on my 68 project currently I'm looking into having them redrilled for the 5/130 Porsche pattern so I can run 944 brakes all the way around. thanks
flatfour, you know, it took me like 5 minutes to figure out HOW you knew I was in Virginia. Duh... license plate
well, I'm in charlottesville. right in the middle of the state.
detailbarn, yes they are the 17 BRMS. Im running 5/100 redrilled drums in the rear and cross-drilled redrilled rotors in the front from CSP in cali. Actually they weren't redrilled, they come in different patterns. They should have the porsche pattern too. I think they were like $70 a piece. They look cool and handle awesome, but damn they ride like rocks. oh, well.
