Window Rubber Adhesive

I saw a post awhile back about a glue to join the ends of VW window rubbers together. I couldn't find it on the Search though. I bought new window rubbers for my chop top and would like to seal the ends together rather than install them loose. Any suggestions ?

I didn?t use any adhesive on the windshield seal in my chopped ?59 vert, I just made sure the seal was a little long (about ¼?), so the ends would be forced together, still tight and dry 5 years later.

But the adhesive sounds like a good idea too.
