fender mounting

my 72's fenders came off pretty good, except for the few nuts that came out of the body. what do i do?

Kind of a vague question. Fenders was removed good but some nuts are still stuck so fender's aren't off yet?? Some of the fender mounting holes are screwed up?? Fenders came off as expected and you're noth sure what to do with it?? I have no idea what your talking about really....

Why do we have to be so snappy?

I believe what he was speaking of is the nutplates that are actually attached to the car. I had a couple come off on me a few years ago.

Took the car to a friend of mine and he fixed it right up. He ordered a section of metal that had the nutplates in it a grafted it into the car.

I know what he's talking about. Happened to the ol'68.

The easy way is to put them back in the holes and tack weld them back in. The hard part is finding a welder if you don't have one. I've even heard of people just putting a nut on the inside and cinching.

I wasn't being snappy, I just couldn't answer it correctly since I wasn't too clear what the problem was so was just asking to be more clear. If it's only a nut or two, you don't need to bolt every bolt to hold the fender on tight. Heck, mine only had 3 bolts per fender holding it but I remcommend more then that though.....
