Has anyone here ever widened their own fenders on a beetle?

Hi Ress,
I'm working on a video how-to for widening your fenders without any welding. The video will have Bug, 914, and Ghia fenders stretched. I'm in Seattle also. You are welcome to visit and see what I'm doing, or...I'm going to be at both shows this weekend in the swap area, stop by and talk...just look for lots of Ghia parts, that will be me.
The method Nick has posted is very cool, but a lot more work, and a different look.
