Im going to butt in a steal part of this thread because i Have a fiberglass front end and the PO didnt really do much to make it fit right and it looks like poop just like jc said. My question for this is what should i use to touch up the fiberglass if the PO took off too much material in some places and now there are gaps where it should fit flush with the body? Ive heard some people fiberglass resin? is that what I want? Where can i get it then? Also what do you think that the best way would be to fit headlights so that they are sturdy?? Sorry for stealing the thread

Fiberglass can be made to do almost anything. The best thing to use on it to make repairs is more fiberglass. I often read complaints about flimsy fenders or ill fitting parts. To me it is easier to fix than say... sheetmetal.
The main thing to remember is cured fiberglass doesn't bond to new fiberglass very well. Be sure and rough up the old surface with very coarse sand paper (40 grit). Clean throughly with acetone. Then apply the new material. Wear all protective equipment, proper gloves, skin barrier cream, tyvek jump suit etc, safety glasses / goggles and respriator. You can easily make your parts thicker, heavier, longer etc.
Get a good book about fiberglass, how the resin works etc. Fiberglast.com has tons of good information and supplies.
