boost line routing

Post by Nick Wharton »

Ok guys, I thought I got it right when running my boost lines. Does anyone have pictures of how the routing goes from the turbo, to the wastegate, to the dial a boost to the gauge? I have been told a few times, however, i want to make sue its right. I don't trust myself.... haha.
also, what type of hose do you guys prefer? Thanks in advance

Fitting from turbo to tee in boost port of wastegate, then to dial a boost, out of that then back to vaccum port of wastegate.

I've got an IHI turbo. There is a pipe from immediately after the impeller to the integral waste gate. Another pipe from the induction tubing (5mm poly tubing, like fish tank piping) goes to the gauge/reg/BTM and finally a line (same type of pipe) from one carb manifold (ie after the butterfly) to the dump valve.

It all seems to work.

I did try and run the line to the gauge etc from a 'T' in the line to the dump valve, but the reading on the gauge was extremely jittery. If I can find a smoothing valve I may try it again....
