Is there any reason why the weber 44 idf 's wouldn't work for a turbo type IV? Blow through style.
I understand that for a blow through system you need to make some modifications, but what are we talking here just adjustments to the jets maybe emulsion tubes, or something else.
I like the way blow throught system seems to work, and you get the hidden factor. But, how many have actually opted for this way instead of the suck through way, I know that suck through will be a lot easier to install, there a lot of kits out there. But, with blow through you seem to be limited to the CB type system.
Thanks

oh I just wanted to add to my question so you guys don't have to reexplain stuff or just tell me to do a search. I did search the forums and found some usful info. I just want to be sure here.
I need to:
change jets, e tubes
seal the carbs at manifolds (bottom)
seal at the stacks (top)
I remeber seeing something about cutting the bottoms of the carbs to except a O ring but that you still get a little leak of fuel. Also saw that a few guys ran no other mods other than the jet changes and e tubes. No sealing mods, but still had a minor leak.
Also does anyone know what mods CB did to the carbs to stop this? Also is it a big problem? why not use a good silicon sealant?
Thanks again

yea I know I saw that post, problem is that CB doesn't really have some one there, past two days, that knows what to do. I always get this lady that knows some stuff, but not very detailed stuff, she did say when her maneger gets back he may know. But, he's on vac.
So I was wondering if somone here bought the kit and knows what they did. May be the turbo mania explains it. Does any one know if the book has that sort of info? If so I can wait 'til my copy comes in.
Thanks

C.B. Performance parts
Hi since CB went fuel injection they are getting very low on carb type turbo charging parts. The Modulator ring(short stacks) they only offered one size now. The turbo regulator no more now. Inlet needle and seats only a few sizes and be carful of the size you choose because it may offer flooding. Also I had to cancel a order of misc parts due to them seating on the order, stating it would take atleast three day for no reason. They offered if I wanted my part within two day it would a extra twenty five dollars. I placed the order on Monday last week and on Wensday they still had not shipped my order, I said cancel the order. Even though it was only about one hundred and fourty dollars from me, I did not like the ideal of "when they get around to it" so I canceled. Be sure to find out all of what they have on hand because turgbo parts cost, it like twenty five dollars for just one emulsion tube. And you don't want buy all of what they have but find out you still need several things. Make the calls first, track down those parts from whomever.
