I'm buying my new tires tomorrow for my 74 lowered Thing, but having a hard time finding the rite brand name. looking for a 145-65-15 but Discount Tire doesnt carry that size. What are you guys running with out there on your lowered Things? Please help.

What kind of Wheels do you have? Stocks are 14s... You'll have to take into consideration what would be best for the wheel and tire fit. figure that out and see if they have any clearence issues.
On my ghia I used 135 55 15 (or some variation) the only company who made those was Nankang, they didnt last more than 5K miles of grandma driving. Got all 4 corners for $90 so I didnt care much.

Call some local mom and pop tire places for the size you want. In my experience discount tire blows.

Unfortunately i read ur reply 2 days to late because i bought 2 NanKang tires for the front, 145-15's. Now i'm hearing all kinds of bad news from them. Who else on the market sells 145-15's? Discount Tires doesnt carry them. Any suggestions? I just had them mounted on saturday, maybe i can get a refund from my local VW shop.
