I made my decision last night when I realized that I just needed a change. Always wanted one too.

I took a look and he was right on with the description. The engine runs but has some thick oil in it, clean though. I?ll just sell that later. It had some surface rust also but nothing that I can?t handle.
Well, I went to the yard yesterday and found a few Westfalias, older t1 busses and a 911.
I did find a 76 ? Bus that was a T4 but someone seems to have hit it with a sledge hammer making it a ?pancake? engine.
The trans was still on that but I remember that car has been there for a few months now so I can get it when I go back. They usually have about 75 new cars a week.
Will the stock Trans hold a good T4 2000cc up?
I had to have a Rebuilt Bus Trans for my 2300 Ghia.
So now I have to get my parts together.
Do any of you have a list of what should be done? Or parts I should get? From whom? (suspension kits, fenders, etc?) I?ll take used if they?re decent.
I want to do it right the first time, I think I will have about $3K to complete this car myself so everything but the paint will be done by me. I think the suspension is going to kill me?

I am going to get the parts from now till October (when I get the Thing out of his yard) and stick them in a storage house.
If you guys have some nice Off Road Things out there let me know, I need the ideas and I need your help. Thanks, Jeorge
