Using a Mustang 5.0 TB on T1 engine?

Ok,

I've tried to search thru this forum on info on running a Mustang 5.0 TB on a T1 engine..I got a headache, but can't find solid info on this.

I was told that one could "build" a manifold (?) I have no clue on this. A lot of single TB info seems geared towards the T4, or some sort of stock setup. Another option is to purchase a intake setup..I saw posts a year old stating that Tracy Grimm could fab one, or Comp. Engineering actually produces one.

Donor engine is a 2275 full tilt boogie hot street setup. I'll run the Dell 45's for awhile, but strive for FI in the near future.

Any help would be appreciated..

I think it has come up about the mustang TB. I also think some discussion on on a TB from a v-6 from a ranger. ( I guess I wont say search the forum Image )

I think it was a good discussion. I'll see it I can find it - the headache...

I am using a stock 5.0 TB on a turbo intercoolef injected 2276. I have Accel DFI injection universal box. I fabricated the the t-section to meet with CB's stock style end castings.

Whats that Accel universal box cost? I didn't know that they made anything for 4 cyl's.

How does it work having 1/2 and 3/4 tie into mini plenums then into a center section and a single TB? Do you like the performance? What camshaft do you use?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info on the TB's.. just got off the phone with a guy from CE. The lowdown is that the current airboxes won't fit into T1's..or barely do. So they are fabbing slightly modified boxes as I type.

I'll check back in a couple of weeks for any results.

They do come with the 2 end boxes, center section, <edit: also fuel rails..end edit> injector bungs welded into the box ends, all for a screaming deal at $750(!!!)

Boy, do dual TB's look attractive in respect to $'s. Berg Ent....you got mail!

One way or another, EFI will be a reality for me.
