CIS QUESTION

The CIS is mechanical; however, the engine management systems are electric. The CIS Lambda has more like modules than computers and the CIS-E is (sorta) computerized but the Injection system is still mechanical. It is the engine management systems that are electric, hence the "E" in CIS-E.

Not sure why Miller sayst that, the CIS fuel distributor, the biggest under-hood part isn't too large itself. All the other CIS componets are small enough to be hand held.

Yes, CIS will work with a Turbo or Supercharger. Callaway (New Dimensions now sells it) has a turbo kit for CIS and CIS-E cars (the Golf and Jetta).

RIGHT ON YOU GOTTA LOVE THESE GUYS.
THANK YOU MUCH THAT CLEARS UP A LOT OF CONFUSION. WHEN BUYING A MILLER( KIT OTHER THAN SPECIAL THROTTLE BODIES) PARTS ARE SIMILAR TO RABIT AND OTHER CIS EQUIPPED CARS?
IS THIS THE SAME TYPE OF SYSTEM I HAD ON MY 72 FI SQUAREBACK? EAGER FOR A CIS SYTEM ON MY NEWLY AQUIRED BUG.

Your 72 square had D-jetronic, it's not the same as CIS. Gary (Miller) has tryed to get all of the CIS components under a bug deck lid but if DON'T fit. You could probably seal off the package tray and then it all might fit.

I have all the CIS stuff, including a GTI motor, under a decklid with a 911 whaletail. I did have to modify the car, but for the engine not the fuel system. However, I've never seen these Miller kits and am not familiar with that route.
