I also have this posted in the bus barn since it's a Vanagon engine
For now I plan on keeping this engine stock, except for changing the muffler... Should I get a progressive carb and intake or use the factory EFI setup?!? What would be the pro and cons of each?

Progressive carbs are JUNK! A stock EFI system is better as long as it has been maintained.

The cons of the carb are many.
You WILL drop seats for starters; the manifolds are junk and don't meter equally to each cylinder.
You just threw your resale out the window.
You can't pass an E-test.
No E-test, no registration, in most states.
Increased fuel consumption.
Reduced drivability.

I failed to mention that its going in a baja... They set me straight in the bus barn... EFI would be very hard to maintain in an open engine compartment... Looks like I'm gonna have to get dual carbs...
