Bus Just Won't Run

Ok, here it is, I put my 78 T2 on the ramps for a solenoid replacement that ended up taking about 3 days due to my own personal lazyness. When I completed the installation and cranked it up it started just fine, but about 4-5 seconds later it just died. It continues to do this and I'm not sure what the cause is. It will start up just fine and then act like it's going to keep it up but then it just craps out. If I pump the gas pedal up and down it will keep running. But as soon as I stop pumping it will die within seconds. Even if I hold the pedal down to keep the rpms above idle it will rev up then if I don't give it more gas it will just die. Oh yeah, just so you know, this is a Stock 78 2000cc T4 FI engine.
