Ragtop question

I seem to be having a problem with the ragtop slipping off of the bows. This only happens when the top is open and I drive over 55mph or if it's windy outside. What should I do? The guy at Donsco in Belmont said I should wrap duct tape around the ends of the bows and have it extend out about 3/4 of an inch into the material. Tips, suggestions or fixes are all welcome!

Hey Holmes, where are you from? I'm in San Mateo and have been going to Donsco for years! I'm still building my rag top so I'm not sure what you could do to help, but I'll go out tonight and take a look at mine and see if I can find out anything.

I live up the peninsula from Donsco, and have lived here all my life. Yeah, let me know what you find out. I was also thinking about taking some rubber hose, (Like a radiator hose) trimming it and sliding it over the bows.

Well, from looking at mine, the rubber hose sounds like the best idea. The tape doesn't sound like it'd work all that well to me. Whats your bug look like?
