Oh dear:
So it turns out if you tell tuner studio you only have one coil, it will only fire one coil, who knew.
Set to "wasted spark" the bus roared into life, burning off 3 weeks of frustration in a plume of smoke.
Surprisingly with all barrels in attendance, is was proper rich, idling its nuts off, and warmed up super quick.
Got a rough and ready fuel map in place, calmed the idle and now have a more reasonable 55ish KPa at idle, so can go back to speed density tuning.
Next steps are to change the oil/gas mix in the sump for a more oil based concoction, cross fingers that I've not goosed the bores on 2&4, and start tuning again ( and pretend this never happened....)
Thank you for allowing me to use you as a sounding board, and for the suggestions

Great
Map tuning is super simple to get a fair tune. However at low rpm the tiniest amount of throttle (ITBs) gets you 90map or more which makes it very difficult to tune smoothly for jogging along at city speedsl. TPS tuning is less intuitive but makes for a more stable precise tune.
I set up a second fuel table, switching at 80map, above that it uses TPS load table.

Hi , do you know the flow rate of the VFR800 injectors?
I like to use them , but can’t find any informations regarding the flow rate
Regards
Michael

Hi Michael,
Mine were measured at 285cc per min using the vfr fuel reg, which is about 36psi.
Cheers
Oliver
