Blow thru questions

Post by kantista »

I am in the process of switching my sand rail from draw thru to blow thru. motor is a VW 2276, I will be blowing thru two 45 dells. T3 T4 turbo.
My question has to do with vacuum source from below the throttle plates. I was planning on drilling and tapping the intake manifolds and running vacuum line to boost/vacuum block with multiple ports. Was curious if tapping all four intake runners would be the way to go? Or just need to tap one cylinder?
Thanks,
Keith

I'm wanting to say cb sold some vacuum takeoff spacers that go between the carb and manifold for webers. I would personally do all 4 runners and bring the lines up to a vacuum block like I did on my 2058. Use better hose than that clear stuff though it didn't last long. I ended up going with 1/8th fuel line if I remember correctly ImageImageImage

Yeah i ran it for 1k miles and started having a slight miss. I was cleaning my idle jets and dropped and oring between the intake and fan shroud and noticed that clear hose was gummy and falling apart.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with only tapping into one runner or maybe two, like the 1 and 3 cylinders?

Looking good, Nate! If you wanted to stay with fuel-safe clear (or another translucent colors), look at minibike fuel line.
