So... minor update. I have purchased a new turbo from RAD designs. He's localish to me & I'm looking forward to working with Rodney.

I made the trip down to meet Rodney on Friday afternoon & pick up the turbo. I think Rodney is going to be an asset to my project! Very much looking forward to working with him.
I spent new years day (morning) down at the local airfield. They were having "arm drop" grudge races. I wander through the pits was very motivational. Lots of twin turbo LS Chevy motors etc.
I couldn't help myself... I went home and ripped the merged header off of the buggy and started adding turbo parts for the first mockup!
This is gonna be fun!

Looks like a lot of fun! I Rodney will definitely be good to work with. He's been involved with a ton of builds at this point and knows his stuff.

You're absolutely right, Chip. I started a "mock up" on a core motor this week and due to my assortment of parts, I was experiencing some "fitment" issuesChip Birks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 5:00 pm Looks like a lot of fun! That's what I'm talkin' about! Thanks Rodney! No worries. Just bring me the motor & I'll make one for you, guaranteed to fit

I would love to be able to say "yes". But the truth is that I'm retiring at the end of August, our house in California is up for sale and we're moving to Texas. Lots of other irons in the fire right now.
Thanks for checking in on me though! Be well

Alright, we're settled in Texas, and it's game-on again. I've collected the majority of the parts for my build, including an electronic Boost controller from Turbosmart
https://www.turbosmart.com/product/e-bo ... eet-40psi/
After receiving the package, and reading the fine print, it says "no5 recommended for use in draw through applications." What challenges can I expect using it in my draw through application? Any experience from you guys?

My guess is that the turbo has fuel mixed with the air and will get into the controller and ruin it.

Thanks for checking in CB. I finally got an answer from the manufacturer and they said there's no way to alter the fuel supply pressure while on Boost. Boost referenced fuel pressure regulator to the rescue!
