Mega Squirt spark issues

Hey guys, been gone quite a while. I'm trying to Mega squirt a beetle and have some questions.
1) Do you know if the coil that comes with the CB crank trigger kit works for direct control from Megasquirt?
2) When checking coil output, can I just use a multi meter? It should alternate between 5 volts and 0 volts, right?

Got a wiring diagram and pin out for the CB coil ? See if it looks like the wiring schematic use for the MS you're going to use.

The wiring diagram for both is the same. I'm stuck on the built in igniter part. Man, the MS manual is terrible.

I'd post it on the MS site in the area that your ECU is listed. MS2 or 3 or ......

Give them all the info that you have. They'll help ya over there

I have a young guy who is an electronics wiz looking at it. There is definitely a hardware issue.
