Slayer's 2276

Post by slayer61 »

Rather than cluttering up my buggy project topic, I thought I'd document my engine build here.

Basic plan is this:
Fiberglass Manx clone buggy
AS21 case sent to Brothers for machine work
94mm case & clearance for stroker
full flow
drill & tap case oil galleries
weld up behind #3 cylinder
minor repair of case saver
CB 4340 82mm crank
CB 5.4" H-beam rods
Engle W125 cam
CB adjustable straight cut cam gears
Berg 1.25:1 rockers
EMPI stage II CNC wedge port heads
EMPI CNC match ported offset manifolds
44 IDF clones
Berg 1 5/8 merged exhaust w/ stinger

Enough with all that,
Brothers does very nice work, goes without saying

So with the majority of the parts sourced, I make the 2 hour trip up to Chico to LNAC for assembly

First report back from LNAC is crank assembly

Another trip to Chico tomorrow to deliver tins, alternator & stand, fly wheel and other goodies!

I guess I need to get cracking on the pan, and plumbing & electric!

Don't forget the pinstriping and printed instructions in several languages on the engine's covers
