With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

Only time will tell. My garage which is partly built by the Germans during WW2 is about to be taken down due to a coming subway line and we are seriously considering moving to a new place where I can have my own garage.

Here are two vintage pictures of my garage which I have rented for 15 years. The old repair shop was built by the Germans and the hangar itself was built in the 50`s:

Ha no way! I've worked on that style of hangar and its nice to have the natural light coming in.... they aren't the warmest place to be though!

shame its getting taken down, its a lovely building. hopefully onwards and upwards!

Good times indeed! I drove with Kalle on some small back roads a few and his idea of low boost is opposite of my idea on that subject :-), so you can imagine my fright when he floored it! Felt similar to my 2,2ltr type 4 turbo at the time, so yeah, it made hp allright.
We agreed that - besides he did everything right with that build - the E85 fuel was one of the biggest contributors why he kept it alive with such high boost and power figures.
The garage was very nice indeed, but I thought it would have been torn down by now? (level) space is scarce in Norway, so I understand its hard to find new room to tinker on cars.

Ceterem censeo: You need to see that Fiesta you have now more as a daily and get another true (aircooled) project my friend! ;-)

Thank you all for your kind words!

My garage was about to be taken down 10 years ago but since then we have at least 4 political wind changes and the planed subway is one of the most expensive projects in Norways history. Insane is the correct word for this!

E85 is a match made in heaven for our aircooled cars. The few down sides are easily overshadowed by all the positives with E85. Build a compatible fuel system first time around and it will last for as long as you wish. But if you choose to save on the injectors, hoses, filter(s) and the pump you will experience issues sooner rather than later.

My Fiesta ST200 Limited Edition was bought as a daily driver when I worked and stayed away from home at the start of the year. I have since then moved back home and the car is no longer really needed. But dam it is a fun ride and remember - it has a mouse engine too and it can be easily tuned to 350hp. We ordered a new Polestar 2 which we hope will be delievered in July/August but Covid 19 might change that date.

Keep on with the good work everyone!

What is a polestar 2? Sounds like a second generation stripper!

That’s how I ended up with what I have! When I got this Baja I was dead set on swapping in a Subaru motor. Now I’m dead set against water cooling.

I have read a fair amount of the Swedish, Norwegian and other Europe builds that seems to make gratuitous amounts of power. I need to create a notebook about all the builds I have read. It is hard to keep all the set ups straight and remember what’s what.

Every time I think I settle on a stroker build I read these threads and want to not build one just to see what i can do!

Kalle, hope you find a garage that fits your needs. That polestar 2 looks cool! Some day I’m going to build a EV VW I think it will be great.

Stay safe

I'm with you my friend. I need heads like crazy but I cant decide if I want to hold off on them for a stroker or just get some for the mouse. Something I have been struggling with for a long time.

I’m on the buy parts that work for both. So beehive springs, 1.4 ratio rockers and some nice push rods.

Also keeps me from splitting the case. Right now.

As for heads if I want better then I can move parts over. If not then my future stroker build has descent parts.

Kalle wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2020 5:05 am Not sure if Wally have posted his video from the 1/8 mile Street Legal event in Norway. He came over for a visit and we had a total blast! The street is quite narrow but luckily for me my car is also quite small so I dont need much space. This is fully legal event, 5000+ spectators and the movie is from the semi final. The break out time is 7.60 and you will be given a warning if you break this once. Twice and you are disqualified. 7.50 or below and you are automatically discualified. I could not let him win so I broke out with a 7.523 even though I was hard on the brakes before the finish line. He also broke out but with 7.625 but not as bad as me. Shame on me! But on the good side it allowed us to cruise back to our rental place and open a beer

Good times Wally!!
Found it again!

I wasn't too handy with the video function back then

044s have been around forever. CB recently redid the design.
