With Turbo and Super charging you can create massive horsepower with vw motors.

Dang. I was all pretty happy with my set up. It could run better, but the power is pretty impressive. Then I watched a bunch of the videos of the car Kalle built. That launch! It is going to end up making me spend more money! Ugh

That ghia is insanity!

But yeah, the biggest victim is transmissions. The amount of shock loading going on there at those speeds is immense.

Too much clutch and/or vibrations will kill any transmission. Niklas is using the Ron Lummus Rev6 clutch system and I used a ordinary Kennedy Kep Stage 4 with a Black Magic disc together with a hydraulic clutch system and adjustable delay. The car still has the same transmission as it did 6-7 years ago after multiple sub 1.50 60ft launches.

Correct. Just make sure that the master and slave is compatible. And if I was to build a new clutch system I would have used a master that was not placed in the tunnel. Instead I would place it on the floor plan in front of the pedal. Much easier to work with.

In the second video is that a PWM air to water intercooler. What type of cooling media were you using on the charge cooler. which of the holset turbos you are using again and at what boost level.

I was telling a friend a couple years ago about the holset turbos especially about the twin scroll units and he was dead set on single scroll garrets. When ever i turbo my oxy 2.2ltr engine with my new los panchitos head i am definitely getting a holset twin scroll turbo, would be nice if i can get the VGT unit.

Correct. PWM water intercooler and I used plain water when on low boost (25-30 psi) and a ice - water mix whenever I wanted to go higher on boost. Also tried dry-ice and water with great success. The turbo is a Precision 5862 with a T4 flange. All specs are shared some pages back in this thread. Guys have had great success with Holset HX35 and HX40 turbos and especially so in combination with E85.

In the second video I`m having issues with my antilag due to a wiring issue. My line lock and my antilag was triggered by the same button on the steering wheel so that I easily could pre-load my car and start building boost.

About the cooling media for the charge cooler i was thinking about using a 50/50 mix of ammonia and water. Next question do you run an ethonal content sensor on your engine. I am contemplating running the ethanol content sensor in the supply line but i see where people are saying to run it on the return line. The way how i see it if your engine is finely tuned with the ethanol sensor and it pulls timing based on ethanol content( one of the parameters ) if the return line flow should stop then the real time reading of the ethanol content would stop leading to a failure of the engine.

I run a Flex fuel sensor in the return line. I can't imagine ever getting a change in readings so drastic it would ever hurt the engine. Unless you were running straight E85, then stopped and added 87 octane, then did a launch control race the second you started it back up. I think the most fluctuation I've ever seen in a tank has been .2 of a percent.
Also I can't imagine running a Holset in a mouse motor. Unless it was all out drag racing. Any sort of street use that would have to be a lag monster! Once it came on it would be a wild ride for sure!
I wanted to mention too, at least for me, a 4x6 barrel cooler is working great for me. I think I gave $80 for it new on eBay. Of course I'm not pushing the amount of air the other guys are. I will be lucky to see 220hp at max boost (although I'm shooting for 250hp)!
