Waste gate question
I am converting from internal gate to external (drawthru) running off spring pressure, no boost controller. The internal gate currently has a vac line that splits to a T and goes to the metering block and underneath the carb in the intake mani. With the external gate can I just run 1 vac line to a port after the turbo in the manifold or should I keep it how it is (vac line to metering block and carb manifold? I've been racking my brain all day and can't find anything online. Thanks

Re: Waste gate question
One port after the turbo would be fine. If your carb isn't boost referenced you shouldn't need any vacuum lines to it or the manifold.

The carb is boost referenced, so would it be find to go to after the turbo AND the metering block and just eliminate the undercarb port? Thanks for the help.

Re: Waste gate question
Yeah that's how I did mine. I had 2 ports after the turbo. One to the wastegate and one to the power valve.

Re: Waste gate question
Sorry I have an internal gate so I can't say for sure, but yeah I'm sure you do. Until you get a 4 port boost controller anyway!
